Are you Registered to Vote?

The Fayette County Chamber encourages you to register to vote. Voter Registration DEADLINE is July 6th for the upcoming August 5th election. Early voting is begins on July 16th and continues until July 31st. To download a printable voter registration form that you can mail in CLICK HERE. You may also obtain a voter registration form at the Fayette County Chamber office. For information on voter registration or any other election-related matter, pleae call the Election Commission office at 901-465-5223. If you know someone new to Fayette County who is not registered, encourage them to register to vote and become involved in their community.

URGENT! BUSINESS ALERT - PHONY AD SALES CALLS

Our office has been informed that members are once again being solicited by a company out of Arlington, Tx for ad sales on a Fayette County Map.  The sales persons name may or may not be Chauncey Wooden.  The company name they give could be one of many, including but not limited to:

Premier Map
D & L Map Co.
Universal Adcom
Mirror Map Co.

This is the same company that attempted to falsely represent themselves as adsales reps for our map in 2008.

THIS COMPANY/PERSON IS NOT SELLING ADS FOR THE FAYETTE COUNTY CHAMBER MAP

THIS PERSON, NOR ANY REPRESENTATIVE OF THESE COMPANIES, IS NOT CALLING ON BEHALF OF THE FAYETTE COUNNTY CHAMBER.  WE ARE NOT ASSOCIATED WITH THEM IN ANY WAY AND WE RECOMMEND YOU DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION WITHOUT CHECKING THE COMPANIES STATUS WITH BBB.

Our office has contacted the Fayette County District Attorney's office, the Fayette County Sheriff's office, the Somerville Police Dept., and the BBB of the Midsouth to report this matter.  You may access this company's information directly by logging on to www.fortworth.bbb.org and clicking company & charity reports.  Type in the name of the company you are given and click it when it comes up.  This will give you their complete report along with a list of the many company names they use in phone solicitations.  Anyone in your business who makes decisions of this nature should be informed.

The Fayette County Chamber urges you to use extreme caution before releasing information when receiving phone calls from any company selling ads that you are not familiar with.  Once again, the only company we are currently under contract with is:
