Fayette Academy was charted in 1965.
It has a current enrollment of approximately 750 students in grades K5-12
with a professional staff of 50 and a support staff of 30. Fayette Academy
is accredited by the State of Tennessee and by the Southern Association of
Colleges and Schools (SACS), Fayette Academy provides students with
opportunities to learn to grow in a safe and comfortable environment.
In providing a sound education for its students, Fayette Academy abides by a
nondiscriminatory policy and admits students of any race, color, creed, sex,
or national origin. The success of each child is our primary goal.
Fayette Academy seeks to initiate learning experiences that are challenging,
purposeful, comprehensive and meaningful to all students. They
recognize that students must "learn how to learn" to meet future challenges,
and that how one learns is as important as what one learns.
They believe that each student is a unique individual, learning is an active
process, learners must experience challenges and success. Students
must take responsibility for their own actions and acquire the
self-discipline required to succeed.
The Fayette Academy campus spans 43 acres on Hwy 64 west of Somerville.
